Chomp Tacos for a Good Cause Next Tuesday at Vida
Restaurant celebrates National Taco Day with a special fundraiser
CHARLOTTE, NC – Tuesday, October 4 is National Taco Day and Vida Mexican Kitchen y Cantina is celebrating by serving up a unique (and tasty) fundraiser.
For every taco sold at the uptown restaurant on National Taco Day, Vida will donate $1 to Levine Children’s Hospital. At the end of the day, the restaurant will then match dollar-for-dollar the amount raised through taco sales for donation to Levine.
Levine Children’s Hospital is a 234-bed hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina, located on the main campus of Carolinas Medical Center. Since opening in December 2007, the hospital has grown to include more than 30 pediatric specialties and has already received national distinction by U.S. News & World Report as one of “America’s Best Children’s Hospitals” for treatment of kidney disorders. If the good cause wasn’t enough, every Tuesday from 5 – 7 p.m. is also Vida Sociale, which features $2 a la carte tacos. Six of Vida’s signature tacos are available for $2 apiece during Vida Sociale, including chicken, barbacoa, green chile brisket, grilled vegetable, grilled fish and the house-favorite carnitas.
